Man accused of threatening to shoot people at Nashville Kroger, injuring law enforcement, affidavit says

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was arrested after reportedly assaulting a Metro Nashville Police Department officer and threatening to shoot people at a Kroger, according to an arrest affidavit.

On Dec. 26, officers with MNPD responded to Kroger at 5705 Charlotte Pike after getting a call about a man threatening to shoot people.

When officers arrived, they spoke with employees who pointed out the suspect, 37-year-old Timothy Patton. Multiple employees at the scene said he was threatening to shoot them and believed he was armed at the time, according to the affidavit…
