NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Police have released an image of the suspects’ vehicle wanted in connection with a deadly shooting on McMurray Drive earlier this month.
On Saturday, Dec. 20, a shooting was reported shortly after 11:45 p.m. in the 500 block of McMurray Drive. Metro police said 24-year-old Jose Manuel Jimiez Luna and his wife left work together, traveling home in separate vehicles, when a masked suspect allegedly approached her vehicle.

Police said the suspect approached her, ordered her to the back of the vehicle, opened the trunk and stole her wallet and cell phone. The suspect then reportedly made her walk to the passenger side and fired two shots into the vehicle near where the couple’s infant was sitting. Jimiez Luna, who had been following his wife, walked to the front of the vehicle when another armed suspect approached him, police said. Witnesses told authorities Jimiez Luna fought with one of the suspects and was shot.
On Monday, the MNPD released an image of the SUV the suspects reportedly fled in — a 2024 or 2025 Chevrolet Trax with black roof racks. Both men wore masks, police added, and one spoke Spanish while the other spoke English.
