FBI Nashville highlights 2025 crime crackdown with major arrests and seizures

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The FBI’s Nashville Field Office reported hundreds of arrests, indictments, and convictions in 2025 as part of its work targeting violent crime, child exploitation, terrorism, cybercrime, and fraud across Tennessee.

In a year-end summary from Special Agent Joseph E. Carrico, the FBI said its Violent Crimes Against Children squads arrested 82 people, secured 61 indictments, and identified 110 child victims. Authorities said 67 child victims were recovered, two child exploitation organizations were dismantled, and 42 convictions were obtained.

The FBI also cited major enforcement efforts in Memphis. Through the Memphis Safe Task Force, FBI personnel assisted in solving cold-case homicides, locating missing children, and producing more than 2,000 intelligence products. Since late September, the task force has been involved in more than 1,800 arrests, with hundreds of firearms and drug seizures reported.
