The perfect way to ring in 2026, which also just so happens to be the year the United States of America celebrates 250 years of freedom.
Last night, Riley Green performed on CBS Network’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, where he delivered a rousing rendition of Toby Keith’s classic, “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue.” The song was written by Keith in late 2001, and was inspired by his father’s death in March of 2001, as well as the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States later that year.
It was released in May of 2002 as the lead single from his Unleashed album, and eventually peaked at #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs in July of 2002, fittingly. It also reached #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming his biggest solo hit on that chart at the time…
