Drugs recovered after gunshots fired in East Nashville on New Year’s Eve

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An 18-year-old was taken into custody after officers responded to New Year’s Eve gunshots in East Nashville.

Metro officers were in the 1400 block of Stainback Avenue two minutes after midnight Thursday when they heard multiple gunshots.

Neighbors told officers three to four people had fired guns and ran back inside a home. According to court documents, officers recovered more than 93 shell casings in the immediate area.
