NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The real estate market in Middle Tennessee balanced in 2025 after being in favor of sellers for years.
Overall, Greater Nashville Realtors say they’re optimistic for the 2026 housing market in Middle Tennessee, stating one indicator pointing toward housing market momentum is mortgage activity.
New businesses coming to 12 South neighborhood in 2026
Compared to this time last year, mortgage applications rose 15%. The new president of Greater Nashville Realtors, Jack Gaughan, said this indicates that more buyers have entered the market before the end of the year.
Gaughan added they’re planning for a more balanced market with less uncertainty this year as buyers are getting more acclimated with what they can expect. According to Gaughan, Davidson County continues to house many hot zip codes, like East Nashville and Antioch, which are expected to keep growing…
