NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Boring Company announced the Music City Loop in July 2025. New information offers a closer look at how the project will proceed, including potential cave systems and the required permission from private property owners.
“As they actually excavate the tunnel, they may encounter the unexpected,” Professor of Geosciences at Middle Tennessee State University, Mark Abolins, explained in December.
On Dec. 31, 2025, TBC updated its website to address potential construction challenges, including Nashville’s limestone. A newly-added question in the frequently asked questions column asks whether the tunnel in Nashville presents “unique challenges” due to the terrain.
