It’s based on the old-school Italian delicatessens of the Northeast, but Ingrassia & Sons is all-new modern Nashville in a glitzy location at 461 Humphreys St. in the Gulch. It’s the latest in a handful of sandwich shops featuring spectacular breads and flavorful fillings. The sandwiches go for $16-$18 each, but they’re huge and easily feed two very hungry appetites or four average ones.
The star here is the bread, specifically the focaccia. It’s got that telltale slick of olive oil on the crispy crust, dotted with large flakes of finishing salt.
