Metro Councilmember calls for increased traffic enforcement to curb reckless driving

NASHVILLE, Tenn (WZTV) — A Metro councilmember is calling for more patrol officers to actively enforce traffic laws, arguing that recent increases in traffic stops don’t reflect how low enforcement levels still are compared to years ago.

Jeff Eslick says speeding and reckless driving have become increasingly dangerous along major corridors like Old Hickory Boulevard, where drivers report near-misses and aggressive behavior becoming routine.
