NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — First responders have closed off Interstate 65 North by the Interstate 40 East interchange in Nashville Sunday night due to a shooting investigation, officials said.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, “police activity” was reported at Exit 82B on I-65 North at 8:10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11. All northbound lanes are blocked on I-65, as well as the right shoulder.

A TDOT representative said all traffic is being detoured to I-40 around the downtown loop.
This news comes after Metro Nashville dispatch received two shooting calls at 8:08 p.m., one from Exit 210C on I-40 East and one from Exit 82B on I-65 North. Dispatch told News 2 the calls were related.
3 injured in multi-vehicle crash in Dickson
The Metro Nashville Police Department told News 2 the victim was shot in the head in what appears to be a road rage incident. That individual is reportedly in critical but stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
According to authorities, the interstate will stay closed while detectives investigate and crime scene units process the scene.
