Kentucky Lands Kenny Minchey Via Transfer Portal
I just did the post on Hollywood Smothers. About how he was going to go to Alabama, and then changed his mind. Smothers will go to Texas instead. The same thing happened with Kenny Minchey.
Minchey, the former Notre Dame quarterback, entered the portal and was going to transfer to Nebraska. One day later… he’s going to Kentucky instead. I’m aware I’m a few days late typing this one, but I didn’t want to jump the gun in terms of watching another switch happen.

Minchey, 6-foot-2, 208, hails from Hendersonville, Tennessee. He will have two years of remaining eligibility under new head coach Will Stein. Minchey was always going to leave once CJ Carr won the job at Notre Dame. What we didn’t know is who Stein would go with as his guy. Cutter Boley left pretty much as soon as Stein got the job…
