NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Strong winds caused part of an old mechanic shop to collapse Wednesday evening, sending bricks and concrete flying onto Old Hickory Boulevard and hitting several cars during rush hour.
Metro Nashville Police said the wall right across the street from Old Hickory Country Club was blown over around 5 p.m., scattering debris across the roadway. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Construction crews worked for hours Thursday morning to tear down the remaining walls and clean up rubble that covered the ground. The demolition crews said the property was owned by the same person who runs the gun shop next door, but that person did not respond to WSMV’s requests for comment.
