NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — While the major winter storm has passed through, the damage from the ice and snow remains across Middle Tennessee.
The storm brought upwards of half-an-inch of ice in many places, including Nashville, trapping people in their homes and making roads impassable.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Office of Emergency Management recommend people with power stay home and stay off the roads if at all possible and to prioritize their own safety. Those without power have been warned to remain patient, as recovery efforts across Nashville may take several days due to the amount of ice breaking poles, snapping tree limbs and glazing roads.
