Baby born at Nashville hospital following winter rescue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Amid the severe winter weather in Middle Tennessee that has left many roads impassable and tens of thousands without power, a couple ended up traveling from Kingston Springs to Nashville to welcome a baby into the world.

According to TriStar Centennial Medical Center, Roslyn went into labor around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26 in Kingston Springs. Not only was there no power or heat, but the ice-covered roads were blocked by downed trees and power lines.

The hospital said firefighters responded to the call, using a “side-by-side” to navigate the icy roads and bring Roslyn to Nashville…
