More than 1,000 in Brentwood still without power

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nearly a week after freezing rain, sleet, snow and ice pummeled Middle Tennessee, countless clean-up crews and linemen have been hard at work, but still more than 1,000 Brentwood residents don’t have power.

Brentwood resident Brenda Elam said her power has been out since 5 a.m. Sunday morning.

“[It’s been a] hundred and twenty something hours now,” Elam explained. “…My husband is a hunter and a Scoutmaster, so we’ve been camping out in our den. We finally got a generator about two days ago.”
