Alabama police chief resigns following arrest in Nashville

COLLINSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT/WKRN) — A police chief in Alabama has resigned his position after he was charged with assault in Nashville last weekend.

Collinsville Police Chief Stephen Malone, 32, was charged with felony aggravated assault with strangulation against a woman he was reportedly dating.
