East Nashville residents face mounting costs after 12 days without power

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Some East Nashville homeowners said they are out thousands of dollars since the ice storm, having to pay for somewhere to stay, food and repairs.

Alison McGeary said one day without power turned into two, then 10. She’s now on day 12.

“I’ve lost probably about $500 to $1,000 worth of food, and I’m looking at probably about $2,500 right now in hotel bills,” McGeary said…
