NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Google’s parent company Alphabet is set to launch self-driving car operations in Nashville this month. Some Metro Nashville Police officers, who told us about the launch, went through an orientation on the car last week and more guidance is going out to all officers in the “near future.”
The Nashville launch comes as Waymo is under a federal safety investigation after a car hit a student in Santa Monica, California last week. There is another federal probe due to Waymo cars not stopping for school busses in Austin, Texas.
