ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WZTV) — Residents at Suburban Mobile Home Park in Antioch are once again protesting their out-of-state landlord, saying months after their concerns first made headlines, they are still waiting for answers.
Tenants, along with activists and supporters, held a protest and press conference at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the park on Murfreesboro Pike. At the same time, organizations in North Carolina gathered in Durham to deliver a petition directly to the landlord, Jones Estates.
Jones Estates, a North Carolina investment firm, purchased the complex in 2021. Since then, residents say they have experienced ongoing problems, including water leaks, excessive rent increases, costly water bills reaching several hundred dollars, no on-site office to report issues, disrespect from management and limited parking…
