Tennessee’s Blaine Brown had a jaw-dropping weekend in his first action as a Volunteer. In his first ten innings during Saturday’s double header, the Rice transfer swatted three home runs.
The power display was lost on no one inside the stadium. And, as it turns out, that also includes the umpires.
Josh Elander addressed the media after the doubleheader, and he had a funny anecdote about one of the umpires while he was coming off the field after the conclusion of the second game.

“No, not at all,” Elander said about whether he was surprised by anything Brown did on Saturday. “Special player. I just think he’s been getting better each and every day…
