Another celebrity bar is opening up but for once, it’s not in Nashville

Country star Luke Combs is expanding his hospitality empire again, and for once, it isn’t anchored in Nashville. Combs just announced that his wildly popular Category 10 bar, restaurant, and entertainment venue is headed to Category 10 at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk, with groundbreaking set to begin in summer 2026 and a targeted grand opening in late 2027.

Unlike many celebrity bars that stick to the familiar honky-tonk turf of Nashville, Combs’ three-story Category 10 Orlando will stand in the heart of Universal CityWalk, a bustling entertainment district filled with restaurants, nightlife, and attractions right next to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. Admission to CityWalk itself is free, though parking is paid, meaning guests don’t need a theme park ticket to eat, drink, and explore.

Combs’ statement about the expansion blends hometown pride with excitement for a new audience: “I know Orlando is a worldwide destination spot, so I’m super pumped and humbled that we’re getting to open a location there… I am glad to be bringing our brand of first-class service and awesome tunes to the Sunshine State.”

Where Category 10 has been and where it’s headed

This Orlando location will be the third for the Category 10 brand:

  • The original flagship opened on Broadway in Nashville in 2024 and has become one of Music City’s marquee nightlife destinations, complete with multiple themed areas, dances, and live gigs.
  • A second location in Las Vegas, also a major tourist draw, is slated to open in late 2026.
  • Now, Category 10 Orlando aims to bring the same energy to an entirely different crowd: park visitors, locals, and vacationers alike.

At roughly 33,000 square feet and with multiple experiential areas inspired by Combs’ music and interests, the CityWalk project promises authentic country flavor wrapped in a high-energy, vacation-ready vibe.

This isn’t just a bar, but rather it’s an entertainment venue designed to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with CityWalk’s most popular attractions.

What else you can do at CityWalk

If you plan a visit when Category 10 Orlando opens, you’ll be in good company. Universal CityWalk is already a shopping, dining, and entertainment hub that draws millions of visitors every year. Highlights include:

  • The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen: Famous for whimsical milkshakes and fusion cuisine.
  • Hard Rock Live Orlando: A concert venue that hosts major acts and events.
  • Red Coconut Club: A classic nightspot for cocktails and dancing.
  • Rising Star:A karaoke club with live band backup.

And that’s just scratching the surface. CityWalk also features burger bars, sushi spots, froyo shops, and entertainment like mini golf and escape rooms, making it a destination for everyone.

Why country bars are spreading beyond Nashville

While Nashville remains the epicenter of country-music nightlife, country and honky-tonk bars are increasingly popping up across the U.S., reflecting broader popularity of country culture and music…
