When I first saw all the Waldo’s Chicken and Beer restaurants popping up across Middle Tennessee, I thought it must be a chain inspired by the “Where’s Waldo?” children’s books that our girls grew up with, and our grandchildren now enjoy.
I had no idea that the chicken spots had nothing to do with the books but instead are owned and operated by a guy whose real name is Waldo. And I had no clue that this fast-growing brand is headquartered right here in Nashville.
Yes, this is Mark Waldo’s baby and customers seem to love it…
