Hendersonville man accused of insurance fraud

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Hendersonville man has been arrested after police conducted a years-long investigation regarding insurance fraud.

According to the Hendersonville Police Department, investigators began looking into a complaint from a business on Nov. 18, 2024, that 67-year-old Richard Wolfe was selling insurance policies without remitting the required premiums.

Police said that resulted in the policies being canceled without the victims knowing.

After the HPD’s investigation, it was presented to a Sumner County Grand Jury, which returned an indictment for Wolfe on the following charges: theft of property between $60,000 and $250,000, seven counts of theft of property between $10,000 and $60,000, five counts of theft of property between $2,500 and $10,000, theft of property between $1,000 and $2,500, three counts of forgery (over $250,000) and money laundering…
