NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – In the span of just 24 hours, the Nashville Humane Association had animals abandoned at its gates on two occasions.
The nonprofit is condemning the abandonment and reminding residents that not only is leaving an animal alone outside their shelter unethical, but it is also illegal.
“We recognize that times are tough. We know the need in our community is greater than what shelters can always accommodate. But leaving an animal outside, without information and protection, is not in the best interest of the animal or the safety of our community.
