NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — On Thursday, Metro police arrested a suspect they described as “a prolific shoplifter” wanted in connection on dozens of outstanding warrants related to theft.
In a Friday press release, the Metro Nashville Police Department said Violent Crimes detectives arrested 31-year-old Lamonica Ensley during a traffic stop on Central Pike. Police said Ensley had 24 outstanding warrants dating back to theft cases from last spring.

Mainly, authorities said those theft cases were centered around the Bath & Body Works in the Nashville West Shopping Center. An ongoing investigation by detectives with the MNPD’s Organized Retail Crime unit revealed Ensley was one of three serial offenders who regularly stole merchandise from the store.
Last July, authorities recovered thousands of dollars worth of children’s clothing, household and bathroom products from multiple retailers after executing a search warrant at a Shelby Avenue home.
At the time, the MNPD arrested Asia Crawley and Chaisha Brown in connection with the thefts.
