Body found underneath house in Tennessee, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police in Jackson, Tenn. are launching a homicide investigation after a body was discovered in the crawl space of a house in North Jackson, according to officials.

Officers responded to a house on Raintree Cv. after being contacted by the family of a missing woman. The family of 31-year-old Mirna Ortez Moncada reported her missing on Feb. 16. and members of the Special Victims Unit have been investigating the report, according to police.

The Jackson Police Department said the home where the body was found belongs to an acquaintance of Moncada.
