Antioch tenants say landlord missed 10-day deadline, no response to petition

ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WZTV) — Tenants at Suburban Mobile Home Park say they’re still waiting for answers from their out-of-state landlord — even after giving the company a 10-day deadline to respond to their concerns.

The dispute between residents and North Carolina-based Jones Estates has been ongoing since April, when tenants first spoke out about what they described as high water bills, strict parking rules, towing fees and a lack of communication from management.

At that time, residents organized a town hall meeting in Smyrna, hoping to have a conversation with property owners. That meeting was abruptly canceled. Video from the event showed Councilmember Tasha Ellis being turned away as tenants were locked out…
