Missing Nashville teen found in Lexington after more than two years

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — On March 2, 2026, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS), with assistance from the Metro Nashville Police Department, Lexington Police Department, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, safely found a 15-year-old female who was reporting missing in Nashville, TN.

On July 2, 2023, a then 13-year-old child was reported missing by a parent to the Metro Nashville Police Department. Metro Nashville PD developed information that the child was possibly in Lexington, TN. Believing that the child was living in Jackson, Lexington police contacted U.S. Marshals for further assistance.

The USMS and TBI conducted surveillance in Jackson and verified where she was living. During the investigation, the USMS learned the child was at an exact location in Lexington. Due to the exigent circumstance, the USMS called Lexington PD who arrived at the location and detained the child until the USMS and TBI arrived on scene.
