NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A person was removed from a flight out of Nashville Friday night after the plane was diverted to Atlanta following what officials described as a “possible security matter.” However, News 2 spoke with passengers who said they didn’t know why the plane changed destinations until they were on the ground.
Sarah Porter and her family were on Southwest Airlines Flight 2094 out of Nashville International Airport on Friday, March 6. About 30 minutes after takeoff, they said the flight attendants grew agitated and started running up and down the aisle. Moments later, they reportedly came over the loudspeaker, instructing passengers to put their heads down and hands up.
“We didn’t know if it was something mechanical, something medical,” Sarah’s mom, Julie Porter, said.
