NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Pelican & Pig, an award-winning Nashville restaurant featured on Netflix, has suddenly announced its closure due to a sharp rise in property taxes.
Unlike the beginning of most fairytales, this story starts with a dream and a food truck — at least it did for Nick Guidry.
“We always had the idea for this restaurant in the back of our mind, and so the conversation was kind of, well, if we’re building out, spending the money building out a coffee shop, why don’t we just build out a restaurant as well?” he told News 2.
