One of the world’s largest rodents is now at the Nashville Zoo

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Nashville Zoo announced Thursday that it has welcomed one of the world’s largest rodents to its facilities.

“Guests can now see Brie, our first-ever Capybara, at the HCA Healthcare Veterinary Center viewing windows,” the Nashville Zoo said. “Her future mate, Andouille, will eventually join her at the vet center before they both move into the new habitat once it’s ready.”

The critters will be part of the zoo’s upcoming South American multi-species habitat, which will be the new home to capybaras and giant anteaters.
