Growing Nashville: new loop in Murfreesboro could ease traffic, connect drivers

As Murfreesboro continues to grow, city leaders say traffic remains one of the biggest challenges.

Now, a major road project designed to help drivers get across town without cutting through the busiest areas is moving forward — and city leaders say it could be one of the most consequential roads Murfreesboro has ever built.

Mayor Shane McFarland says the Cherry Lane and Stones River Battle Parkway corridor would create a new loop around the city.
