NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Nashville Department of Transportation said that it has been installing Flashing Yellow Arrows (FYL) across the city in an effort to make streets safer.
The FYLs have been installed at select intersections such as Old Hickory Boulevard and Trinity Lane along what NDOT calls its “High Injury Network” (HIN).
“These signals support safer driving by allowing a permissive left turn: drivers may turn left on the flashing yellow but must yield to pedestrians and oncoming traffic,” NDOT said…
