NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two people died after their vehicle crashed while fleeing from the Tennessee Highway Patrol last week, according to a newly released crash report.
The incident was reported at 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, near mile marker 54 on Interstate 24 West near Antioch Pike.

According to the THP investigation, a Volkswagen CC was fleeing from troopers on I-24 West when it collided with a Ford Escape, which was driving in the far right lane. The Volkswagen then went off the right side of the road and hit a guard rail before overturning, while the Ford stopped along the right shoulder.
The Volkswagen’s driver, 18-year-old David Wheeler, died from his injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time, the report said. A passenger, 43-year-old Kisha Marable, was also pronounced dead after the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. A second passenger, age 32, who was also not wearing a seatbelt, had unspecified injuries…
