East Nashville woman petitions for Railroad Quiet Zone feasibility study

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An East Nashville woman wants to put a stop to the constant noise from railroad crossings in her neighborhood.

She started a petition for Railroad Quiet Zones for residents who live near railroad crossings. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, in a Quiet Zone, the train horn would not be routinely sounded “provided they meet certain safety requirements.”
