Utility work causing travel mess in South Nashville neighborhood

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Utility work is underway in one South Nashville neighborhood, and the work is continuing to put a strain on residents.

Since Franklin Pike Circle is a two-lane road and has no shoulder, utility work is causing a bit of a travel mess for residents. One lane is closed as contractors continue working, and it’s causing delays for drivers.

Crews are installing 1,500 feet of steel main gas pipes on Franklin Pike Circle, which will tie into the Regent Drive neighborhood. The goal is to ultimately improve gas service for nearby residents.
