Police in Nashville say a 52‑year‑old man with a long criminal record stole a Ford F‑250 from a local car lot Friday morning and led officers on a dangerous chase. Around 9:30 a.m., the suspect rammed an unmarked police vehicle on Murfreesboro Pike before speeding off. He then crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head‑on into another car, killing a woman in her 20s. The suspect was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non‑critical injuries and now faces homicide‑related charges. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
