MNPD: Serial shoplifter linked to $30K in Lululemon thefts arrested

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A serial shoplifter was arrested on Tuesday night after he was accused of more than a dozen theft cases that date back to July 2025.

The Metro Nashville Police Department’s Organized Retail Crime Unit detectives linked 35-year-old Michael Mitchell to recent thefts at Lululemon locations, totaling more than $30,000 in stolen merchandise since Jan. 30.

MNPD said his previous shoplifting incidents happened over the last nine months at Lowes, Old Navy, Home Depot and Target locations…
