Kia Crew Slams Into Nashville Vape Shop in Overnight Heist

Metro Nashville police are searching for a group of suspects after an early morning smash-and-grab at a vape shop on the 3800 block of October Woods Drive, where officers say cash and thousands of dollars in merchandise were carried off in a quick hit.

Police Say a Vehicle Was Used to Force Entry

According to WKRN, officers were called around 2:40 a.m. after four people allegedly drove a Kia Rio with Kentucky plates into the front of Smoke and Brew to get inside. Investigators said three suspects went into the business while a fourth stayed with the car. Police later learned the Kia had been reported stolen.

Surveillance Images Released

The Metro Nashville Police Department shared surveillance photos and video of the break-in on social media as part of a public appeal, showing the suspects inside the store and the vehicle involved. Anyone who recognizes the people or the car is urged to contact investigators, according to the department’s post on the Metro Nashville Police Department.

Pattern of Early-Morning Break-ins

Vape and smoke shops around Nashville have been hit by similar early-morning break-ins in recent weeks, with thieves moving fast and grabbing large amounts of inventory, leaving owners with major losses and damaged storefronts. In one recent Antioch case, three people smashed a window and cleared counters, costing the owner more than $15,000, as reported by WSMV.
