(Kentucky / Middle Tennessee) — The body of 37-year-old Darrion Young, the primary suspect in the strangulation death of his girlfriend, has been discovered along the banks of the Cumberland River in western Kentucky, bringing a multi-state investigation to a somber conclusion.
Authorities confirmed that Young’s body was found Monday near the shoreline in Kuttawa, Kentucky, after a local resident clearing property in the area made the discovery and notified law enforcement. Officials have since identified the deceased as Young, who had been the subject of a criminal homicide warrant issued by Metro Nashville Police.
