LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Fire crews rescued several people Easter Sunday after a fishing boat capsized in La Vergne.
According to officials, personnel with La Vergne Fire Rescue responded to the incident at approximately 2 p.m. after receiving a call from someone who was in the water.

“Dispatch was able to give us a precise location from the caller, and we were able to locate them quickly,” added Battalion Chief Patrick Hood in a release about the incident.
The 18-foot fishing boat was reportedly “fully capsized” when firefighters arrived at the scene. After deploying an inflatable Zodiac watercraft, crews were able to reach the group within minutes and brought four people safely to the shore just 20 minutes after the initial call was made, officials said.
