Waymo launches driverless public rideshare in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Waymo tells FOX17 News its driverless rideshare operation is now open to the public after months of training and testing in Nashville.

The cars began testing in Nashville with drivers mapping and training the new technology. Then drivers took their hands off the wheel. In February, the cars went into full “autonomous mode” with no driver behind the wheel. This launch to the public marks the final step in the roll out process…
