King-Collins golf course is fueling Tennessee community’s revival

Tucked into rolling hills and lush greenery, Nashville’s quaint Whites Creek neighborhood, a once-bustling row of businesses that sat vacant, hibernating for years, is having a revival.

A boutique hotel formerly called The Inn at Fontanel is reopening as The Grove at Whites Creek, situated among a collection of businesses on Whites Creek Pike near The Fontanel Mansion. Surrounding businesses also include a former winery, restaurant and distillery, which all used to be within the footprint of The Fontanel, a log mansion and estate once home to Barbara Mandrell and known for its amphitheater concerts and music industry ties.

This spring, the inn that closed in 2019 will open to guests, with a new name: The Grove at Whites Creek. It is owned and operated by Allison Lanquist, who purchased the property at auction in 2022…
