‘Angel’ nurse helps family with 2-year-old son after they get into car accident with deer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – An emergency room nurse is being recognized after she stepped up while off-duty to help a family that got into a car accident.

TriStar Horizon Medical Center said on Friday that the nurse, Rachel, had stopped to help a couple that hit a deer while they were on their way home with their 2-year-old son. All the airbags in the vehicle were deployed during the accident.

“Instead of driving by, Rachel immediately sprang into action,” TriStar said. “As an ER nurse at TriStar Horizon, she’s known for her calm presence and compassionate care — and Sarah says that same care showed up exactly when her family needed it most.”…
