NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro detectives are investigating after a bicyclist was found dead Saturday along Harding Place.
Just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to reports of a person in the road at Harding Place and Tampa Drive. According to Metro police, officers arrived to find a 66-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metro Nashville Police Department said the victim was riding his bicycle in a westbound lane when he was hit from behind by a vehicle. Officials said he was not wearing protective gear at the time. Authorities are working to notify his family.
A car part found at the crime scene has led investigators to believe the suspect vehicle is a 2016-2018 gray Nissan Altima. Officials said the car would have front-end damage, which may include a broken headlight…
