Tick activity surge sending people to emergency rooms at highest rate in nearly a decade

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – People are ending up in the emergency room for tick bites at the highest rate in nearly a decade, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

While the spike is mainly occurring in the northern part of the country, the impact is being felt across Tennessee.
