Nashville bicyclist killed Wednesday evening; tentatively identified as 52-year-old man

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A bicyclist was killed Wednesday evening after being hit by a pickup truck.

The bicyclist has been tentatively identified as a 52-year-old Nashville man. Investigators say he rode off a sidewalk onto 2nd Avenue North near Junior Gilliam Way at 5:20 p.m. when a Ford F-350 pickup truck was travelling parallel with the bicycle.

The bicyclist was rushed to Vanderbilt, where he died. Police said positive identification of the bicyclist is pending fingerprint analysis…
