A traffic stop by a Sumner County sheriff’s deputy led to the reported discovery of dozens of hydrocodone and oxycodone pills and the arrest of a Nashville man.
According to court records, a deputy initiated the traffic stop on Louisville Highway on the evening of Wednesday, April 22, after observing a vehicle with a broken taillight. Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Ross Jones, 66, of Nashville, the deputy reportedly noticed the smell of marijuana from the vehicle.
Jones reportedly said his grandson had smoked marijuana in the vehicle. After receiving permission from Jones to search the vehicle, the deputy reportedly found two unlabeled pill bottles with 42 hydrocodone pills and 55 oxycodone pills, and two pill bottles with a third party’s name on them containing 30 morphine pills and 90 oxycodone pills…
