Mayor proposes local biz grant fund as more Nashville favorites fall

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — As property tax increases continue to frustrate homeowners and businesses in Nashville, the mayor is attempting to provide help to longstanding local spots, but no property tax relief is proposed.

Mayor Freddie O’Connell is calling it the Legacy Business grant program which was proposed as a pilot at his state of the city budget address on Wednesday.

This announcement comes the same week that staff at 12 South Taproom tells FOX17 News’ Johnny Maffei they will be closing soon…
