‘We’ve cried’: Beloved newspaper vendor killed in East Nashville crash

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A street vendor for The Contributor newspaper was killed in a crash Monday on Gallatin Pike.

Billy Ray Swarner, 58, was walking along Gallatin Pike on the sidewalk when he fell into the roadway and was hit by a semi-truck, authorities said.
